International Sunbonnet Sue

It seems like everyone has an opinion about Sunbonnet Sue. Some love her, some loathe her. Debra Kimball did something different with her—took her on vacation around the world. She created 49 different Sunbonnet Sue designs, covering countries from Argentina to Japan and Sweden to Ghana. For each Sue, she picked a traditionally local outfit and a corresponding ”prop” to serve the purpose of the bonnet. Carefully selected fabrics add to the international flavor of each design. The book offers patterns and a sewn sample for each Sue, allowing readers to creatively mix and match to make their own International Sue.
