Deploy that Fabric

By Jen Eskridge

This book is full of surprises beyond its catchy name. What comes to mind when you hear “camouflage” or ”military uniforms”? No doubt you think of a green/gray/beige/brown palette with a masculine feel, none of which is incredibly exciting when you consider the variety of colors and prints available to quilters. Jen Eskridge shows you how ”everything” goes with military uniform fabric—making 23 fun, contemporary projects that anyone will love. Hot pink? Orange? Yep. From coin purses and messenger bags to quilts, baby items and holiday décor, this book will open your mind to the possibilities available for upcycling retired/extra uniforms.

Love the concept and the book. It is great fun to find quilting fabric to coordinate with the uniforms. Too bad my husband wore ugly polyester khakis his whole career. Now I am shopping St. Vinnys for cast-offs.
