QUILT – December/January 2013
We’ve been busy scouting great quilts for you to make this fall and winter. If you live in a region with colder temperatures, you’ll probably be spending more time indoors, and if you don’t, well, you’ll want to! Stitch a festive snowflake quilt, a trio of mini quilts, or poinsettia table runner for the holidays. You’ll find gifts to create for friends and family like a sewing machine cover or one of several throw quilts. And if you’re looking for the perfect stash-busting scrap quilt, check out “Day & Night” and “Peaceful Valley”. There’s something for every quilter, whether you’re a beginner or an expert.
I would like to add a thank you to our readers, designers, and many friends in the quilt world for the warm welcome I’ve received. I’m having a ball! Working with quilters is a privilege, getting to see new fabrics before they’re released is a thrill, and having a career doing something I’ve loved for more than forty years is a gift.
We’d love to hear from you! Whether it’s a comment, request, or a tip to share for our soon-to-be-launched Reader’s Tips page, you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Have you sewed a project that was featured in Quilt magazine? Email us a photo or post it on our Facebook page, and we
may include it in an upcoming issue. We also have great news for the digitally savvy: Quilt is now available for your iPad and iPhone at the App Store.
