Quick Quilts, Issue #107 - Winter 2010

Lately I’ve found myself saying, “’If only I had more time, I’d…”’ and ending the sentence with everything from household chores to exercising to more quilting. The shorter days of winter only add to the feeling that time is flying by.

Since we can’t give you more time, we’re offering up the next best thing: quick projects! Each of the quilts and accessories in this issue, photographed at a bed and breakfast in Virginia farm country, are easy to make—perfect for your home or for a gift.

If you’re looking for a cozy winter quilt, snuggle up with minkee in Walk on the Wild Side, or try our cover quilt, Frosty Squares, or the festive Holiday Paper Chains.

Find sophistication in simplicity with Modern Living, a quick bed quilt design, or Simple Elegance, a trendy table topper. Children will love a fun quilt with an Old MacDonald’s Farm panel, or a quilted checkerboard in bright prints, complete with game pieces. And finally, sew some easy fabric bins and pincushions for great gifts.

In this busy season, it’s so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle. Step back for a minute, carve some time out of the day just for you, and try one of our easy projects!

I Love this magaizine! I love each and every project in this magazine. In the December/ January 2010 issue on the back page is a Warm Up! organizer. It says to go to this website to get the pattern but I am having a problem finding this pattern.. Just wondering if I could get help finding this awesome looking project. I love to try new projects all of the time.

Your magazine is so nice and I can’t wait to get your next issue from my local Piggly Wiggly.

    Thank You,
    Shelly Kipper

Quick Quilts #107. Has a great pattern for Retro Print Apron.
But one major drawback—it has the pocket template printed at 25%, tells us to increase 400%. So, I have to make a trip out of my small town, find a copy center, and pay extra to enlarge…….
couldn’t you put such templates on the website and we could print them out ourselves, saving a trip to the copy shop.
