Flowers in the Park

By: Krista Taylor Rempel

St. Thomas, ON

My husband and I were married in September 2009. My new mother-in-law wanted to make us a quilt as a gift, as she had for her six other children after their marriage.

I went in search of a pattern that both of us liked. I found that pattern in your February/March 2010 issue of QUILT Magazine. The quilt pattern I chose was Flowers in the Park on page 42.

My husband and I had a wonderful time shopping for material to suit our taste and his mother did a wonderful job with the quilt and we have received many compliments on her work.

She was very happy with her work. My father-in-law also assisted in creating the templates and working out the measurements as the quilt was adapted.

I have attached a photograph of my mother and father-in-law with my husband and the quilt when it was given to us. It is such a beautiful pattern. We now have a lovely heirloom to keep within our family and treasure.

Thank you for including this lovely quilt pattern in your magazine.
