Pacific Sunset

by Betty Daggett

Portland, Oregon
USA

Techniques:
Machine pieced, machine quilted, hand stitched

Artist Statement:

The Pacific Coast sky amazes my senses with color and mood. A photo I took on the Pacific Coast at sunset captures one of those moments. While taking a workshop with Rosalie Dace, ‘Earth, Wind, Fire and Water.’ I was inspired by the photo. The guiding hands and thoughts of Rosalie helped to transform this image to cloth. I am so lucky to have this piece to be reminded of what can be created from our everyday gifts from nature.”
