Tidal Pool-After The Storm

by Holly S. Altman

Santa Fe, New Mexico
USA

Techniques:
Hand and machine appliqued, machine quilted, crocheted, beaded, trapunto, sculpted, painted

Artist Statement:

I was a marine biology student in college. There is a huge variety of life in a tidal pool, an entire world, each creature dependent on the other. This world changes daily with the coming and going of the tides…it’s a fragile ecosystem, easily damaged by nature and man.”
