Vintage Button Bouquet
by Linda Roy of Knoxville, Tennessee
Artist Statement:
“This quilt was inspired by antique buttons (1850s-1880s) found on bracelets and watches purchased at Prize Possessions at national quilt shows. Placed on a background of burnt cheddar, the grays and golds/yellows mimic the colors found in many of the buttons. More than 45 different fabrics were used.”
Winner: First Prize in Traditional Appliqué
