Show Us Your Mess and Win!

Last week, I blogged about my studio and even dared to show pictures of its ridiculously messy state. Fabric piles, boxes, scattered scraps, magazines…you name it, and it was  probably piled on my floor. Inspired by my shame at sharing this with the world, I made a decent start this weekend at sorting and organizing. Definitely a work in progress though!

So often the road block to eliminating disorganization is knowing where to start and what to aim for–is there really a home for everything? How can I make my tools and supplies conveniently user friendly? Thanks to the folks at C&T Publishing and Carolyn Woods’ new book Organizing Solutions for Every Quilter, we’ve got some answers.

Send us a digital photo of your sewing room (the messier the better!) for a chance to win a copy of Organizing Solutions for Every Quilter. Simply email your photo to quiltmagweb@gmail.com by Tuesday, April 26th.

For a second chance to win, leave a comment under the Product of the Week on our website (featured this week is the organizing book) briefly explaining why you need the book.

We’ll announce the winner on Facebook next Wednesday, April 27th.

Take a photo, leave a comment, and enter today!

About the Author: Lisa Swenson Ruble

I made my first quilt when I graduated from college and realized that I needed a hobby to fill all those hours that used to be dedicated to homework! Eleven years later, I'm completely addicted to quilting and thrilled that my day job as the managing editor for Quilt, Simple Quilts & Sewing and Quilt Almanac allows me to "play" with quilts and the friendly world of quilters!

Hi Lisa. I admire your courage in posting your own studio pics. I am eager to see what photos you receive and whom you select as the winner of a copy of my book.

For your space, you need to win some shelves or cupboards for the wall between the door and window and something more substantial and taller in the corner between the window and that same wall. Then you’ll have places to put things so that you can unpack yourself from all of those boxes. You’ll be on your way to a beautiful space.
