Inspired at Home

Spring Market ended only a month ago, though it seems longer.  Amazing.  We had a great show – with new patterns inspired by the North Woods where we’re building a cabin.  We’re spending most of our time in the Yaak area of Montana.  My hubby is a retired builder — definitely ‘back to work’.  I’ve been moving rocks, gathering debris and burning, keeping the job site clean, cooking, trying to keep the tiny camper we’re living in on the job somewhat clean and tidy, and working on a new fabric line when it’s raining (which it’s done LOTS! – - wish we could send some of the moisture to Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas).

Here’s a new quilt entitled Kootenai Forest and a picture of the cabin we’re building in the Kootenai Forest.  BTW — we saw this bear while driving home yesterday!

    Jackie,
I SO get this post!!!! Even if i am just now seeing it! My hubby and I have been building a cabin of sorts in West Texas…just like you with a beautiful view. Only difference is that it still hasn’t rained, and my hubby used to build valves for the oil industry. This is the first house.
    I love the quilt…just perfect!
